Explore the FUSION of Art and Science at International Gathering of Medical Illustrators
Salt Lake City, Utah (PRWEB) July 11, 2013 -- The Association of Medical Illustrators (AMI) will hold its 68th annual meeting July 17-20, at the Sheraton in Salt Lake City, Utah. Over 300 of the world's leading medical and scientific artists, game developers, simulation experts, researchers, animators and innovators will gather this summer to explore the world of communicating science and medicine through visual media. This year’s conference, FUSION: Connecting Minds • Visualizing Science & Medicine, promises a rich opportunity to network and learn from the very best visual problem-solvers in the world of healthcare communications.
AMI President Christine Young notes, “Over centuries our professional story is one of intertwined developments in the disciplines of medical science, communication, technology, and the arts." By combining their efforts, medical artists and leading scientists are revolutionizing how we learn about science, injecting it with the sense of magic and wonder it deserves.
Presented by the international non-profit organization, the Association of Medical Illustrators (AMI), FUSION is a four-day event of renowned speakers, technical workshops, and artwork displays, that is open for registration to anyone with a passion for the melding of science and art.
