Veteran International Education Executive Joins SAE Institute U.S.A. as President
New York, NY (PRWEB) July 11, 2013 -- SAE Institute U.S.A., recently recognized as the best audio recording and engineering school in America by Vibe Magazine, has chosen higher education professional Scott McKinley to be its new President. McKinley will oversee all aspects of the academic delivery, operations, marketing, and enrollment for SAE Institute’s American operations.
"Our vision for SAE in the U.S.A. is to build on our well-deserved global legacy by continuing to expand our creative media course offerings,” says McKinley. “We also strive to help our graduates to become not just industry participants, but also industry leaders."
Prior to SAE, McKinley worked in senior executive capacities for Study Group and Laureate International Universities in the Asia Pacific region. He was instrumental in assisting Laureate’s entry into Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, and New Zealand through investments in higher education institutions. He was also a co-founder and CEO of Neumont University in Salt Lake City, Utah, which specializes in preparing technology-focused students for careers in computer science, software development, operations management, and information systems. Before his involvement in education, he worked for CapGemini, Bankers Trust Company, and JP Morgan Chase in public equity markets, venture capital, and growth equity financing with an emphasis on the emerging markets of Asia.
McKinley has lived and worked extensively in both Europe and Asia, with assignments in Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, London, Kuala Lumpur, and Tokyo. He received his MBA degree from New York University and a BA degree in International Relations from Brigham Young University.
“SAE has seven wonderful campuses located in major metropolitan cities that are attractive to U.S. and international students,” says McKinley. “We also offer our students a powerful advantage by allowing them to leverage our solid relationships with industry professionals and successful SAE grads around the world, who provide meaningful curricula input as well as valuable internships and great employment opportunities.”
