Mirena Multidistrict Litigation Moves Forward: Now, AttorneyOne Can Provide Advice
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) July 11, 2013 -- AttorneyOne.com, a recognized authority on law, updated the website recently and they are now actively providing expert opinion in view of the recent news on Mirena lawsuits.
Court documents indicate that the next Case Management Conference in the Mirena IUD Multidistrict Litigation is scheduled for August 13 (MDL 2434, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York). The Mirena IUD, manufactured by Bayer, is an intrauterine device (IUD) that is inserted into the uterus as a contraceptive method. The cases in the MDL allege that Mirena IUD may migrate away from its original position, perforate the uterus and/or cause related injuries. The Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation ordered the centralization of federal lawsuits alleging injuries caused by Mirena IUD on April 8.
On April 23, a woman filed a lawsuit in Nova Scotia Supreme Court (case no. 414709) alleging that the Mirena IUD perforated her uterus. In the lawsuit, the plaintiff claims she was implanted with the Mirena IUD in 2010 and in 2012 she was advised that she was pregnant. Moreover, she alleges that the device perforated her uterus and migrated into the lower area of her cervix requiring laparoscopic surgery to remove it.
Taking into consideration the latest developments, AttorneyOne.com updated the website and, now, can actively provide an expert opinion including how to get in contact with legal counsel easily and inexpensively in case of alleged Mirena IUD severe complications. Sean Burke, director of Media Relations at AttorneyOne.com, adds that the relevant information illustrates that people continue to file Mirena IUD lawsuits. "For that reason", he continues, "our focus should squarely fall on getting the word out and assisting people in finding the right legal assistance.”
On April 12, a woman filed a lawsuit in the Morris County Civil Division (no. L1006-13) alleging uterus perforation caused by her Mirena IUD. In the lawsuit, the plaintiff claims that a few months after the device was implanted, it migrated outside the uterus and she had to undergo laparoscopic surgery to remove it.
AttorneyOne.com has further information on Mirena IUD lawsuits including how to get in contact with legal counsel.
