Dialogic Accelerates Service Provider Path to NFV and Cloud with BorderNet Virtualized Session Border Controller
Parsippany, N.J. (PRWEB) July 11, 2013 -- Dialogic Inc. (OTCQB:DLGC), the Network Fuel™ company, today announced its BorderNet™ Virtualized Session Border Controller (SBC), a software-based SBC built to address key multimedia service deployment challenges faced by carriers and large enterprises: lack of agility and flexibility and the need to reduce costs. The BorderNet Virtualized SBC orchestrates connections between disparate IP networks, facilitates secure communications sessions within virtual, cloud-based environments and powers a seamless migration strategy for carriers and enterprises moving toward a Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) environment.
The BorderNet Virtualized SBC is the latest addition to Dialogic’s growing portfolio of software-based telco application solutions. It empowers carriers to reduce costs associated with proprietary hardware while compressing the implementation cycle for multimedia applications and services. Enterprise customers can also leverage the BorderNet Virtualized SBC to streamline any-to-any communications demands through IP-based services delivered over SIP trunks.
“With virtualization and the use of Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) servers, service providers and enterprise organizations are looking to lower costs and improve operational efficiency and infrastructure elasticity,” said Andrew Goldberg, senior vice president of marketing and strategy for Dialogic. “The BorderNet Virtualized SBC is an access-oriented, software-based SBC that provides ‘carrier-grade’ reliability and functionality in virtualized environments whether deployed in a service provider’s data center or in an enterprise’s private cloud."
Dialogic also announced the availability of release 3.1 for the supercharged BorderNet 4000 SBC, its highest capacity hardware SBC, offering a range of advanced capabilities to address the most challenging communications architectures. Deployed at the network border for both access and peering applications, the BorderNet 4000 SBC includes enhanced security support for IPv4 and IPv6 environments and support for SIP Connect 1.1, enabling secure session management in both mobile and fixed next-generation networks and IMS environments. Both the BorderNet Virtualized SBC and the BorderNet 4000 SBC are available globally from Dialogic and its partner network.
