New maths app from EuroTalk helps toddlers count with confidence
London (PRWEB UK) 15 July 2013 -- Parents wanting to send their children off to school in September with a head start in maths, will be glad to hear about a new app launched this week by primary education publisher EuroTalk.
The app, designed as a game, is the first in a new series, providing pre-schoolers with five graded levels of activities to help them count to ten with confidence, and practise one of the key skills taught in EuroTalk’s existing maths app, Maths, age 3-5.
This existing app, along with the next level, Maths, age 4-6, has won over parents and children with its combination of teaching and practice, colourful characters and friendly, motivating teacher figure.
EuroTalk’s managing director, Andrew Ashe, said, “Our existing maths apps introduce children to key concepts like counting, adding up, telling the time and lots more. With this new series, we wanted to give children the opportunity to practice what they’ve learnt, in a very structured way, so that these skills become second nature.”
EuroTalk, best known as publishers of language learning software in over 130 languages, have worked closely with both an experienced educational author and a primary school teacher to develop the apps, combining this input with their own 20 years’ worth of expertise in delivering learning through technology.
“Children really gain in confidence using these apps,” says Andrew Ashe. “Our team work incredibly hard to produce learning resources that work, by focusing on the needs of the child, and we know from the feedback we’ve received that parents, teachers, and most importantly, children are benefiting from the results.”
‘Counting to 10’ is now available from the iTunes App Store for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, and from Google Play, for Android devices.
EuroTalk is a publisher of educational software based in South West London. Established in 1991, the company is best known for its range of language learning software in over 130 languages, which has been used by more than 20 million people worldwide.
