Regional PT Hosts “Hats Off to Kids”— Fourth Annual Fundraiser for The Children’s Center
Midwest City, OK (PRWEB) July 22, 2013 -- Midwest City physical therapy clinic Regional Physical Therapy (PT) is dedicated to enhancing the care given to children with disabilities—Regional PT continues its commitment to pediatric care with its fourth consecutive fundraiser for The Children’s Center, a private, nonprofit pediatric hospital serving children with complex medical and physical disabilities in Bethany, Oklahoma. The event is open to all and will be held at Regional PT, located at 9309 East Reno Avenue, Midwest City, OK 73130, on Saturday, August 10, 2013 from 7:00-10:30 p.m.
As part of a combined effort between Regional PT and the physical therapy team at The Children’s Center, the two facilities have strived to help Oklahoma’s children achieve the high quality of life that they deserve. The Children’s Center depends solely upon public donations to continue its work of helping children reach their fullest potential, and has partnered with Regional PT for several years to raise much needed funds. This year’s fundraiser theme is “Hats Off to Kids,” with the main attraction being a photo booth for guests to take pictures with their favorite hat. Regional PT began its annual “Cha Cha for Children” event after seeing the large number of children in the community who need physical therapy care.
Regional PT works alongside The Children’s Center year-round to provide quality PT to kids—Regional PT staff participates in Christmas toy drives, and every Regional PT event has chair massages with the proceeds going to The Children’s Center. Regional PT’s three previous Cha Cha for Children fundraisers has brought over $10,000 to The Children’s Center, and the facility hopes to surpass that number this year.
“We were inspired to give back to those families who are in the unfortunate situation of having an injured child,” said Buchanan. “We wanted to create an environment where our guests can have a fun night of entertainment, while also assisting those in need.”
The event will be larger than ever before— guests will have chances to win various items such as a Coach purse, signed sports memorabilia, date night packages and concert tickets to a local casino. A DJ will be onsite to play music for dancing, and dinner and drinks will be provided by Los Vaqueros, which is all included in the ticket price of $25. All proceeds will go to The Children’s Center for the purchase of physical therapy equipment.
For those unable to attend “Hats Off to Kids,” Regional PT encourages that the public donate school supplies, children’s clothing or funds to help The Children’s Center continue to make a difference in a child’s life.
