MEC Named Top Fabricator For Third Consecutive Year
(PRWEB) July 15, 2013 -- Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. (MEC) has been named the #1 company on the FAB 40 list of the largest fabricators in an annual survey published by The Fabricator magazine. This is the third consecutive year that the Mayville, Wisconsin-based company has led the list.
The continued growth of MEC combined with the 2012 acquisition of Michigan-based Center Manufacturing has fueled a dynamic organization with 16 manufacturing facilities located in five states. MEC’s operations are strategically located close to their customers in Wisconsin, Michigan, Mississippi, South Carolina and Virginia. The company provides a broad range of prototyping, production manufacturing, fabricating, tube forming, coating, assembly and inventory services to a variety of markets including agricultural, construction, commercial vehicle, military, power sports, medical and industrial.
“The geographic footprint of our facilities combined with the world-class manufacturing technologies we utilize make MEC an ideal supply chain solution for leading OEM companies like John Deere, Caterpillar, Navistar and Volvo Truck,” said Robert Kamphuis, chairman, president and CEO of MEC. “But the real difference is our people. MEC’s 2,000 employees own the company and they serve their customers every day in a way that most companies cannot. It’s a unqiue formula that delivers great value to our customers.” Kamphuis explained.
Ryan Raber, MEC’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing added, “We’re proud to be named #1 on the FAB 40 list again this year. It speaks to the tremendous partnerships we have with our customers. We work closely with them to understand their needs and provide them solutions. We’re much more than a fabricator – we provide complete turn-key solutions to many of our customers. Our focus is on their success.”
MEC operates as a lean, six sigma organization and holds the internationally recognized ISO 9001 and TS-16949 certifications. More information on MEC’s supply chain solutions can be found at http://www.mayvl.com.
