LowBlueLights Announces Blue Shield Filters for Large TV and Computer Screens
University Heights, OH (PRWEB) July 16, 2013 -- LowBlueLights.com, the worldwide leader blue light blocking products, is excited to announce the most ambitious addition to its line of sleep-enhancing products since the company’s inception in 2005. We proudly introduce the Blue Shield, a custom-cut, blue light-blocking filter for today’s flat screen televisions and computer screens. These lightweight, crystal-clear, flexible filters are cut to specifications and designed to allow normal nighttime viewing while blocking the harsh blue light responsible for suppressing the production of natural melatonin. The Blue Shield uses the same vinyl material as our top-selling iPad and iPhone filters. Custom-cut Blue Shields are designed to fit most flat screen TVs up to 60 inches wide. At this time these filters are only available in the United States. We hope to ship worldwide in months to come. The shipping cost is included in the price so there are no hidden charges.
The blue wavelength of light emitted from today’s LCD & LED-driven television & computer screens has been shown to suppress production of the hormone melatonin ultimately compromising sleep and overall health. So prevalent, this modern day phenomenon is now commonly referred to as electronic insomnia. The Blue Shield allows normal screen use prior to bedtime without compromising sleep by filtering out only the detrimental blue wavelengths of light below 510nm. Most colors appear as they normally would except for deep blue which appears black. Secondary and tertiary colors containing blue are only slightly altered
The Blue Shield light filter is designed for flat screen TVs and computer monitor screens. The filter is intended to be used in the evening for 2-3 hours before bedtime. To gain optimal benefits, all ambient light must be from low-blue light bulbs (also available at http://www.lowbluelights.com) If our Sleep Glasses are used, blue-blocking filters and/or low-blue light bulbs are not necessary. However, it’s important to note that while whenever up during the night, Sleep Glasses or low-blue night light should be used, otherwise earlier benefits will be lost.
Blue Shields are priced according to the height of the filter and are available in five size ranges that vary in price from $79 to $119, For information call or email Dr. Hansler at 216 397 1657 rhansler(at)jcu(dot)edu
