Day One Foundation Hosts 2nd Annual Golf Outing to Support Stony Brook Children's Hospital
Muttontown, NY (PRWEB) July 18, 2013 -- The Day One Foundation is hosting their 2nd Annual Golf Outing on September 30th, 2013 at Woodside Acres of Muttontown NY. The event will benefit the Stony Brook Children’s Hospital and honor A.J. Caro, Entrepreneur and author, as well as Dr. Irwin Schwartz who will be the recipient of the “Making a Difference” Award.
The outing directly contributes to the hospital, which aims to benefit youths who are faced with hardships and only dream of success in the near future, with the help from the event’s sponsors, Travers and Associates, BluChip Marketing, Sandler Training, and Farrell Fritz. Guests and golfers will enjoy an afternoon filled with welcome gifts, tournament competitions, brunch, award presentations, dinner, cocktails, and an exhibition presented by the one and only, Dan Boever. Not only is this athlete an entertainer in the professional golf world, but he also was declared champion in the 2008 Senior World Long Drive competition. This outing is a great opportunity for Long Islanders to see Boever’s remarkable talent and continue the day by participating in a variety of contests.
Supplemental to the outing, each participant is truly contributing to the greater cause: helping children within the community. “We are really excited to be running the Day One Foundation golf tournament again this year,” stated the foundations chairman, Brian Travers. “Last year was an amazing success for an inaugural tournament. This year we are thrilled to honor AJ Caro and to be presenting the ‘Making a difference award’ to Dr. Irwin Schwartz.”
