Attorney Trent R. Buckallew Named “Criminal Law Specialist” by the Arizona State Bar, Board of Legal Specialization
Mesa, Arizona (PRWEB) July 12, 2013 -- The Law Offices of Trent R. Buckallew, P.C. is proud to announce that Trent R. Buckallew, Esq., has earned Board Certification as a Criminal Law Specialist from the Arizona State Bar, Board of Legal Specialization. As a certified criminal law specialist, Attorney Buckallew has demonstrated a level of legal professionalism and expertise that is matched by only a small percentage of criminal attorneys across the state. In Arizona, approximately 100 Criminal Defense Attorneys are Board Certified in Criminal Law.
In order to obtain board certification, a lawyer must meet an extensive list of qualifications. In Arizona, a criminal law “certified specialist” must have at least seven years of criminal law experience. Qualifying attorneys must devote no less than 50% of their law practice to criminal law, pass a written test and have significant experience handling criminal cases. Additionally, an attorney will not qualify for certification unless he/she was a member of the State Bar for at least two years prior to submitting an application for certification.
Board certification involves more than professional requirements though; a Board Certified Lawyer must establish a high-level of integrity and competence in criminal law as well. If a lawyer is not in good standing with other members of the bar and judiciary, he/she will not qualify for certification as a Criminal Law Specialist.
As a Board Certified Criminal Law Specialist, Attorney Buckallew has shown that he meets these exceedingly high standards. As a criminal defense attorney, he is well-versed in criminal law and has handled a significant number of criminal cases throughout the course of his career.
Attorney Buckallew grew up in Tempe, Arizona. After graduating from high school, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Justice Studies from Arizona State University, where he received the ASU Regents Scholarship for academic performance.
