Distinctive's masculine fragranced washing powder is launched to males in Germany via the new DMAX online e-Shop
UK, Germany (PRWEB UK) 15 July 2013 -- DMAX granted Discovery Enterprises International (DEI) the licence for the store as part of their expansion strategy for the DMAX brand. The e-shop complimenting its television channel aimed at providing an array of unique and individual items for sale.
Speaking to Louise Knowler, CEO of Distinctive Wash Ltd, about the partnership she admits that she is expected to need to create new labelling for the German market. However, during talks with Dmax she relaxed when told, “no don’t worry, if Distinctive German men can’t speak English then they are not Distinctive men.” She certainly hopes that men across Europe catch onto the idea, as she explained that “Dmax have a superb warehouse and distribution company operating their facility and could certainly see Distinctive growing very nicely with them.”
So are people buying into the designer fragrance washing powder?
Louise thinks, “once customers have tried our products, we get a really good proportion of repeat orders and many of our customers rave about us.”
As with many scented goods Distinctive Wash has had its own difficulties of tempting customers to trial the products. “Unless someone gets the opportunity to trial it, it is really difficult to gain new buyers to get beyond that “oh that looks good” or “I like the sound of that - we were only talking in the pub the other day about how great it would be if your clothes already smelt of a designer fragrance."
Louise goes on to explain how she intends to overcome this hurdle, “We are having a number of single-use sachets produced, but with our full pack branding on. They should do the job perfectly and we hope to support our retailers with a proportion of these. They are ideal to go out with other exclusive men's purchases as a way of us encouraging people to trial the product and then hopefully they will love our formula and scent as much as everyone else and become regular customers."
Louise really is out there to give laundry a new feel. Distinctive with its strapline ‘Your dirty laundry is our little secret’ launched with a risqué You Tube video showing Kelly Hall as a house sitter, who having spilt orange juice down herself, was caught on hidden cameras by the owner popping her own laundry into the machine alongside the gents for whom she is housesitting for and stealing his shirt as she leaves the house. The video went viral with over 5.5 million hits in eight months. So is this the answer to how you make laundry interesting? Well, maybe, but for Louise, Distinctive is about so much more. Not only does it have a fantastic scent, but the clever technology means that body heat activates the fragrance molecules fixed into the fabric during the wash so that the scent of sandalwood gets better with wearing as the wearer gets warmer or if you are in direct sunlight – making it perfect for holidays, (you’d get away without taking a bottle of scent) it smells so good.
It would seem that this fast growing brand, the brain child of entrepreneur Louise Knowler is going from strength to strength not only here in the UK but after Distinctive Wash received some media attention in America, orders and enquiries for distribution have been coming in. And, with the German Dmax launch this brand is taking off, Louise it seems is going places, fuelled further by enquiries from other countries.
