“Woman Gives Kidney, Bank of America Steals House” – New Video by Banking Bad
Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) July 15, 2013 -- Homeowners in trouble have tapped into a new customer service outlet called "Banking Bad." The Banking Bad YouTube channel was featured on MSN Real Estate. Melinda Fulmer of MSN Real Estate wrote, “When today's borrowers get fed up with their mortgage lender's customer service, they don't just write a letter to the CEO or file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. They make a movie.” That is what the crew at Banking Bad did when they received messages about a homeowner who was very close to losing her home, but seemed to have taken the necessary steps to save it.
In the video titled, “Woman Gives Kidney, Bank of America Steals Home,” Adrianne Powell describes how she has submitted paperwork for a HAMP loan modification for 4 years. This is starkly contradicted by a message from her attorney that states: “Council for Bank of America can demonstrate that they have not received any documents” in relation to Adrianne’s modification. The email is scanned and included in the video along with documents Adrianne received from the bank during her loan modification review.
“It’s really the tale of two different worlds that contrast sharply,” said director De Veau Dunn. “When you hear Adrianne tell her story and show her evidence, it is interesting to see the letters and messages from the bank, and how they differ in such a dramatic way. I think the viewer may really be affected by the video, as I have seen total strangers spring to action after watching Adrianne’s story.”
This seems to be the case as one viewer has started a change.org Bank of America Loan Modification Petition called “Modify a Loan for Adrianne Powell as promised since 2009.” The petition was started by Susan Belej, who wrote, “Kidney donor being foreclosed on by Bank of America. Tell Bank of America to follow through on what they promised Adrianne Powell. I found Adrianne Powell’s story on Banking Bad. Adrianne is not someone who is social media savvy, so I want to tell her story for her. She lived in her family home; she donated her kidney to her brother. She then fell on hard times and her brother passed away. She needs our help.”
