Music News: Blues Guitar Lesson on Soloing with Modes is Online
Los angeles, CA (PRWEB) July 15, 2013 -- The team at Guitar Control has recently released another free online guitar lesson in the form of a video clip on You Tube that shows how to apply the modes when blues soloing. For those that don’t know, modes are basically variations of a scale that contain seven notes and they also combine whole and half steps in various combinations to produce different sounds. Not only are they useful, but many well known guitar licks in popular music have been created by using modes.
Cameron Rasmussen is the instructor in this blues guitar lesson that lasts a little longer than 5 minutes and entails a few modal licks. Cameron is a new member of the crew at Guitar Control and although he’s quite youthful, his abilities are well beyond his years. Also, even though these guitar modes may be a little bit advanced for some, this clip should still be good for anyone who is learning the guitar and looking for a challenge.
Blues soloing is often considered an effective, if not essential exercise by many guitarists and this tutorial actually gets into things like the Greek modes and minor pentatonic scales. Therefore, this clip contains moves that most guitarists may want to learn how to play at some point in the learning process. Furthermore, mode tabs are included which can of course be quite helpful because they show where the fingers are supposed to go on the fretboard.
Today, whenever someone is looking to learn the guitar, if they have online access, they really don’t have to go very far in order for their musical adventure to begin. As long as companies like Guitar Control continue producing complimentary guitar lessons such as this one, of which there are currently 330 and counting on You Tube, then there should be some enlightening information to keep students of the six-string busy for many years to come!
