The Weld Fixture Specialist, Fund Raising Organization, and Entertainment Venue Team Up Again To Help Community Member
Waukesha, WI (PRWEB) July 16, 2013 -- On July 27, 2013 starting at 11:30 pm CST in Waukesha, WI there will be a 10 team Charity Co-Ed (3 girls and 3 guys) Volleyball Tournament at Sunset Bowl Entertainment Center.
This event is open to the public and all donations and profits raised will go directly to the “Supporting Jeremy Fund” that Rentapen Inc. and FundCrowd Benefits (FCB) have created along with friends and family.
Jeremy Dickinson is a U.S. Army Veteran, father, husband, former weight lifter, former CNC operator and laser cutting machine operator for Rentapen Inc. Dickinson did assembly of Rentapen’s steel shim packs, and provided customer service to Rentapen’s RAPid Tooling Components™ customers.
Jeremy was part of Rentapen for eight years. Then he was returning to school when his symptoms led him to the emergency room and a preliminary diagnosis of Mitochondrial Disease.
Mitochondrial diseases result from failures of the mitochondria, specialized compartments present in every cell of the body except red blood cells. Mitochondria are responsible for creating more than 90% of the energy needed by the body to sustain life and support growth. When they fail, less and less energy is generated within the cell.
“This should be a super-duper fun event. I hope we get a crowd of non-volleyball players to cheer the teams on,” said Susan Straley, President of Rentapen. “Thanks to the volunteers at FundCrowd Benefits, those who have put together a team to play, Sporties for the venue, and Club 400 for helping with promotions, and all the sponsors. So many have come forward to support this local family, it is inspiring!”
The Supporting Jeremy Fundraiser – Charity 10-team Co-Ed (3 girls and 3 guys) Volleyball Tournament will be fun for all ages and is held in a family friendly environment. The cost is $100.00 per team registration, which includes a free t-shirt, a free support wristband, and drink tokens. There will be 50/50 raffle tickets and chances to win a 2 Night Stay in Las Vegas. First place winner will win $150.00 and second place will win $75.00. The tournament will be played with standard volleyball rules and will be Double Elimination. Support wristbands that will be available for $5.00, and Supporting Jeremy t-shirts for $15.00.
A web page has been set up to accept donations from those unable to make the Charity Co-Ed (3 girls and 3 guys) Volleyball Tournament. Rentapen's Community Support Page provides information and updates. Some of the funds are being used for alternative therapy treatments that seem to be working well for Jeremy.
