Simba Information and Education Market Research Merge to Create Powerhouse Team
Stamford, CT (PRWEB) July 16, 2013 -- Simba Information, the leader in expert analysis on the media and publishing industries, and Education Market Research (EMR), a research firm providing key market intelligence on the U.S. K-12 publishing market, today announced they have entered into an agreement whereby EMR will merge with Simba’s Education Group.
“The addition of EMR’s content and Bob Resnick’s expertise to Simba’s already formidable portfolio in Educational Publishing solidifies Simba’s position at the top of this field,” said Robert Granader, CEO of Marketresearch.com, Inc., Simba’s parent company. “We are pleased that we can now offer an even more robust set of content to our clients in this sector.”
Bob Resnick, Ph.D., founder of EMR, has been associated with K-12 education for nearly 30 years. He founded the company, dedicated to K-12 market research publishing and consulting, in 1995.
As the company enters into this new pact with Simba, Resnick will continue to design and conduct the EMR surveys and write the reports. Resnick said that with the merger of EMR and Simba, the two companies would coordinate their research plans to cover the widest range of critical K-12 issues thereby avoiding the duplication of efforts.
“The combined information gathering resources of EMR and Simba will create a powerhouse team able to provide more comprehensive and up-to-date K-12 school market information compared to any other source,” Resnick said.
Earlier this year, the two companies had renewed their co-branding and distribution agreement, allowing Simba to sell five EMR titles, which were co-branded as EMR/Simba reports. Today’s announcement of the merger further expands the relationship between the two companies and will lead to the addition of all EMR products to the Simba Information Knowledge Center, an annual subscription service that delivers the entire collection of Simba reports and newsletters in a searchable format. Additionally, all of EMR’s publications both past and present will be available for individual purchase through Simba and complement the existing line of Simba’s education products. The transition is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
