The WCEC is helping small businesses storm back from Sandy through three key training programs. They are:

In addition to training employees, The WCEC will also offer “Train the Trainer” workshops to help employers learn how to train future employees and to further enhance customers’ and visitors’ experiences. The customer service training workshops will take place from now– September 2013.
2. Planning for Future Storms – This two-hour briefing session will help business owners to prepare for the next storm so that their businesses can remain open and viable when other emergencies arise. The Planning for Future Storms workshops will take place throughout the month of August.
3. One-on-One Business Consultations – Business owners will be provided free, individual consultations on a variety of topics and needs that are important to them. These one-on-one sessions include consultations with a variety of experts in numerous fields including marketing, technology, human resources, strategic planning, finance, and more. The individual consultation sessions are available from now – August, 2013.
"We’re working closely with local business groups and organizations as well as the SBA to ensure that all business owners have access to the important training programs that we are offering free of charge to aid them in their efforts to rebuild and reopen," said Penni Nafus, Executive Director of the WCEC. "Together we know we can storm back from Sandy as we work together to restore our business community."
