Wisconsin-Based Third Party Administrator Receives Business of the Year Award for Outstanding Performance
Appleton, WI (PRWEB) July 16, 2013 -- Cypress Benefit Administrators, a third party administrator (TPA) that is headquartered in Wisconsin and offers clients across the United States customized employee benefit plans, was recently named a 2013 Business of the Year.
The award was designated by the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce & Industry – the third largest Chamber in Wisconsin with over 1,300 professional and business members representing nearly 20 different communities.
The Chamber’s annual Business of the Year Awards aim to recognize outstanding business performance by companies that achieve sustained growth and stability through successful business strategy, innovation and customer service while also making positive change in their industry and community.
With nearly 50 nominations submitted for 2013, Cypress was announced as a finalist in May and received the Business of the Year Award in the Service category.
Tom Doney, president and CEO of Cypress, said the award is a direct result of the TPA’s long-term commitment to innovation and cost containment. “We started out with eight employees who had a vision for offering employers a resourceful alternative to traditional health benefit plans and have grown to a staff of 100,” Doney said. “Our process for offering forward-thinking, fully customized benefit plans is leading to significant cost savings and really catching on with employers everywhere.”
Chief operating officer and co-founder, Marsha Phillips, oversees day-to-day business operations and attributed the company’s ongoing success, in large part, to the Cypress team. “We’ve put together a really talented group of employees who work hard on behalf of their clients,” Phillips said. “Whether it’s investigating the details of a health claim discrepancy or tailoring a benefit to a client’s specific workforce population, our team is on top of it.”
Doney added, “This award is inspiring in that it drives our entire team to keep focused on finding new ways to control health benefit costs even further.”
The Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s annual Business of the Year Awards were presented in combination with a business expo on June 12 in Appleton with an estimated 450 business professionals in attendance.
