EMA Announces A New Enhanced Version of CircuitSpace
Rochester, New York (PRWEB) July 16, 2013 -- EMA Design Automation (ema-eda.com), one of the world’s largest Electronic Design Automation Value Added Resellers (VARs), today announced CircuitSpace 5.0 with enhanced features to improve the usability and productivity for circuit board design placement, replication, and design reuse in Cadence® Allegro® PCB Designer. “CircuitSpace enables engineers to expedite the PCB design requirements with a higher level of quality and reproducibility from the placement phase of the design cycle through design review and verification,” said Manny Marcano, president and CEO of EMA. “We strive to continue to innovate with our technology to make life easier for PCB designers.”
Customers frequently use reference designs to facilitate new product development where package names in the reference do not match company libraries. The CircuitSpace 5.0 ‘Match Packages’ feature applies templates with similar package styles but having different names and pin locations in support of reference designs. Also, mirroring circuit clusters has been expanded to allow mirroring components on the same layer. This facilitates placing clusters around a central location keeping components relative to the center object(s), retaining the same relative component positions as other circuits. This would particularly be useful to customers creating automatic test equipment (ATE).
Other enhancements in CircuitSpace 5.0 include the support of crossprobing with the latest Adobe 11 version. Also, templates now support keywords and along with advanced filtering, candidate template memberships are narrowed to matching keywords in the template to the current design. Network Settings file is another new feature to support corporate site configuration and a long requested feature to support Undo/Redo CircuitSpace commands has now been implemented.
“These new features build on CircuitSpace’s ability to save PCB designers significant time and reduce errors by incorporating intelligent clustering, placement, and design reuse into their workflow,” added Marcano.
