"The Healing Artist" Debuts on CityWorld Radio Network Hosted by Karina Yanku, LMT
NEW YORK, NY (PRWEB) July 30, 2013 -- On August 6, 2013, a new weekly internet radio show called "The Healing Artist" will air live every Tuesday from 4-6pm EST on CityWorld Radio network (http://www.cityworldradio.com). Hosted by Karina Yanku, LMT, "The Healing Artist" is a show devoted to raising awareness and shining the light on the healing arts community by sharing resources and knowledge to empower each other to make the world a better place. There is such an abundance of creativity, energy, love, and faith amongst the human race, and it is the contributions of these amazing artists – bodyworkers, musicians, physicians, researchers, scientists and visual artists - that continually inspires Yanku, a massage therapist and musician herself, to create a platform for these gifted healers who work so hard in earnest to bring about healing and Universal love.
Here’s just a sampling of some upcoming guests on "The Healing Artist": Devotional Electronica Singer and recording artist Ekayani from "Yoga on the Dance Floor" and the "Tom Glide Space", didgeridoo player and sound healer A.J. Block and the "Didge Project", and MELT and Yoga Instructor Edya Kalev!
These are trying times right now. Political unrest, war, reality TV that glorifies bad behavior, and the constant barrage of celebrity gossip weighs heavy on our collective conscience. But despite all of the negativity, we must remember that there is great potential for growth and change. "The Healing Artist" is not about prestige and competition – Yanku believes that when the intention is love, there is room for everyone. We are all here to share our Divine gifts with each other.
As the internationally acclaimed spiritual teacher Marianne Williamson says: "As we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence actually liberates others."
This is such a great quote. Think about the feeling of witnessing an amazing performance by a favorite musical artist. Remember the feelings of joy at witnessing such talent, and the experience of being in the midst of that positive energetic vortex between the performers onstage and their fans in the audience. In this give-give situation, performers often mention that their fans bring out the absolute best in them by just being there and showing their love and support. Or think about how a beautiful piece of art can transport a person into another world through someone else’s eyes. Simply put, when others "strut their stuff", even if it may mean falling flat on their faces in front of everyone, that shows real courage. Taking risks in order to share one’s gifts inspires the rest of us to rise to the occasion by either supporting the artists by loving their work, or by stepping up to create our own unique vision and sharing it with the world.
In the lyrics of Journey’s "Colors of the Spirit", Steve Perry sings;
"Many colors of the spirit
Many lives below the sun
We are colors of the spirit
We are many; we are one".
