Culinary Concepts Announces Expansion of Sales Team to Enhance Expertise of Wedding and Special Event Markets
SAN DIEGO (PRWEB) July 18, 2013 -- Culinary Concepts, premier catering company in San Diego for over 20 years, is excited to introduce new Wedding Specialist Christie Gowdy and Event Designer Beth Davidge.
Christie Gowdy comes to Culinary Concepts with over 15 years of wedding planning experience, most recently with her own company, Weddings of a Lifetime / Basic Black. Christie is also a former two-time President of the Association of Bridal Consultants, and has coordinated over 500 events (mostly weddings) with guest counts ranging from 2 to 2,000.
Christie prides herself on her culinary artistry and is eager to work with the Culinary team to create fresh, unique and delicious menus. Christie looks forward to providing brides with the unique combined expertise of planner and caterer.
Beth Davidge joins Culinary Concepts after relocating to Southern California from Chicago, IL, where she lived for four years and co-founded a special events planning and promotions company, Social Birds, LLC. Beth has been in the service industry for over 12 years, working many facets including server, bartender, cook and event manager. Social Birds started as an idea to offer a central place for social and corporate clients to learn about restaurant event spaces in Chicago. Within a year she had a client base of ten high-end restaurants in central Chicago, and consulted over 200 local corporate and social planners.
Born in Minnesota, Beth grew up in a home that featured a vast garden, and she has always loved to cook with ingredients straight out of the garden. The Farm-to-Table concept has been well received by Beth, and since moving to San Diego, she is a fixture at local farmers markets. Beth is passionate about working with people and strives to plan innovative, top-notch events. “I like to build lasting relationships with my clients. Combine that with my creativity and my foodie background and I can execute an exciting event (big or small) worth remembering.”

About Culinary Concepts:
Culinary Concepts was conceived over 20 years ago, as the brainchild of a small group of event professionals including current CEO Kathy Koenig and Chef Manfred Gerzabek, whose son Chris is currently carrying the torch in the kitchen as Sous Chef. From the very beginning, the goal of Culinary Concepts was to fill a void missing from San Diego’s catering scene; they continually strive to be a company that doesn’t simply offer menu options A, B or C. The Culinary Concepts team really listens and collaborates with each of their clients and put creative energy into the creation and planning of every event. What has resulted is the ultimate in creative, delicious and personalized catering.
