Crow Canyon Archaeological Center Announces New Print PSA
Cortez, CO (PRWEB) July 17, 2013 -- The Crow Canyon Archaeological Center's new print PSA, “98% of History is Unwritten,” is now available to members of the media. With its new “98%” campaign, Crow Canyon looks to bring attention to our shared human history, most of which took place before written words were available to describe it—and to inspire the public to take a hands-on role in archaeological research.
The Crow Canyon Archaeological Center is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit research and education organization located in southwestern Colorado. Crow Canyon’s archaeological research focuses on the ancestral Pueblo Indians (the Anasazi) who lived for thousands of years in what is now called the Four Corners area.
Every year, more than two thousand lifelong learners, children, teens, and educators travel to Crow Canyon from across the country to work alongside professional archaeologists at the Center’s current excavation site and in the laboratory.
As a not-for-profit organization, Crow Canyon depends on the public for support. To help spread the word about how the public can help uncover the unwritten past, Crow Canyon asks publications across the country to place the new Crow Canyon PSA wherever space is available. Publications may obtain high resolution PDF files formatted to specific sizes by e-mailing jalexander(at)crowcanyon(dot)org or calling 970-564-4362. The PSA is also available for download in a variety of sizes, in color and black and white, at Crow Canyon’s Public Service page.
