AED.com Donates AED to Russell County Emergency Management
Brentwood, TN (PRWEB) July 19, 2013 -- As part of a 100 AED Giveaway in 2013, AED.com selected Russell County Emergency Management Agency as a recipient of a free AED. The Russell County EMA is located in Phenix City, AL where it serves the community through mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery. The AED will be placed in the County Courthouse, which hosts a constant stream of citizens daily. “It will be a big relief knowing that there is an AED on site in the event one of our citizens or employees were to have sudden cardiac arrest,” said Bob Franklin, Director of Russell County Emergency Management.
“Having an AED in high traffic areas is an excellent idea. Out of the 360,000 victims who suffer from Sudden Cardiac Arrest each year, a small percentage receive defibrillation. This is due largely to the fact that there are not enough AEDs in public places,” said Blaire Czarniecki, AED.com Donation Team Member. “We are honored to donate an AED to Russell County EMA. We hope they never have a need for this AED, but knowing they have one readily available is security we are pleased to provide,” added Czarniecki.
AED.com has been in business for over 14 years and takes pride in a reputation for superior quality and exceptional customer service. The AED Giveaway Program is just one way that AED.com gives back to the community and thanks their customers for continued support.
