HealthCAWS CEO to Speak at mHealth+Telehealth World Congress
Boston, MA (PRWEB) July 17, 2013 -- On July 25, 2013 HealthCAWS CEO, Rose Maljanian, will provide a joint plenary session on Strategies to Accelerate Consumer eHealth Engagement at the mHealth+Telehealth World Congress in Boston, Massachusetts.
The mHealth+Telehealth World Congress is being held from July 24th-26th featuring sessions with notable speakers, an opportunity to hear case studies of mHealth+Telehealth challenges, pre-conference workshops on eHealth strategies and much more. The integrated event gives attendees a unique opportunity to listen to industry experts discuss innovative healthcare solutions.
Rose Maljanian will share her thought leadership by providing a strategic overview of market trends in consumer engagement. Sherri Dorfman, of Stepping Stone Partners, will present real world case studies of consumer engagement from leading health plans and delivery systems.
Maljanian will close the session with an overview of the National eHealth Collaborative (NeHC) Consumer eHealth Readiness Tool. The assessment and all supporting solution technology was developed by HealthCAWS and brought to market jointly by NeHC and HealthCAWS. The assessment is mapped to the widely adopted NeHC Patient Engagement Framework and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Meaningful Use criteria for electronic health records released by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
“Consumer engagement is a critical lever for improving health, care coordination and health outcomes,” says Maljanian. The adoption of web and mobile technologies in other aspects of consumer’s lives is helping to push that envelop in healthcare. Maljanian cautions audiences alike that, consumers eventually will vote with their feet, taking their business elsewhere if healthcare team members do not hear their voice and meet their needs to be active participants in their healthcare. “In turn, as we develop solutions to support the advancement of engaged, accountable consumers, the all-encompassing focus must be on providing value to them- time saving convenience, improved health, rewards or cost savings -not more obstacles or more work with no perceived gain,” says Maljanian.
