Child Care Caterer Serving Chicago, Milwaukee Areas Hires Registered Dietitian
Lake Villa, Ill. (PRWEB) July 18, 2013 -- Registered Dietitian Emily Botma has joined Quality Catering where she is helping plan nutritious meals the company caters for child care centers, child development centers and adult day care centers.

Quality Catering each day prepares and delivers approximately 15,000 ready-to-serve hot lunches and other meals to centers in northern Illinois and southeastern Wisconsin, including the Chicago and Milwaukee areas. Meals are prepared in kitchens inspected each day by the USDA to ensure food safety.

Quality Catering provides menu nutrition details on its websites and provides nutrition education via free nutrition lesson plans for preschools and via advice columns. The nutrition lesson plans revolve around a cast of "Healthy Heroes" and tie into daily menus.
Since 2011, Botma has worked in both long-term care and fitness settings, helping people of all ages in meeting health and wellness goals by providing nutrition education and counseling.
She has a strong interest in preventive health care, wellness, childhood nutrition, and loves to work with people of all ages and from all walks of life.
Botma graduated from Dominican University, River Forest, Ill., with a bachelor of science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics in 2011. Upon completion of undergraduate program, she was accepted into Dominican University’s internship program where she completed extensive community nutrition supervised practice rotation, providing nutrition education to more than 150 children, parents, and staff involved in Head Start throughout the South Side of Chicago. Furthermore, she was able to write menus to meet the nutrition needs of children and develop creative nutrition and physical activity lesson plans to get children and their families excited about healthy eating.
During her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, preparing for her first century (100-mile) bike ride, weight-training, cooking, and spending time with her family, friends and dogs.
