Judy Collins
Judy Collins has thrilled audiences worldwide with her unique blend of interpretative folksongs and contemporary themes. Her impressive career has spanned more than 50 years. At 13, Judy Collins made her public debut performing Mozart's Concerto for Two Pianos but it was the music of such artists as Woody Guthrie and Pete Seeger, as well as the traditional songs of the folk revival, that sparked Judy’s love of lyrics. She soon moved away from the classical piano and began her lifelong love with the guitar.
In 1961, Judy Collins released her first album, A Maid of Constant Sorrow. Judy Collins is also noted for her rendition of Joni Mitchell's “Both Sides Now” on her 1967 album, Wildflowers which has since been entered into the Grammy Hall of Fame. Winning "Song of the Year” at the 1975 Grammy Awards was Judy's version of “Send in the Clowns,” a ballad written by Stephen Sondheim for the Broadway musical “A Little Night Music.”
Judy Collins, now 74, is still writing, performing, and nurturing fresh talent. She plays 80 to100 dates a year around the country. Judy Collins, a relentlessly creative spirit, is a modern day Renaissance woman who is also an accomplished painter, filmmaker, record label head, musical mentor, and an in-demand keynote speaker. She continues to create music of hope and healing that lights up the world and speaks to the heart.
The One Concert, Featuring Beatlejuice
The Beatles’ One Album was released in 2000 and features all 27 of the Beatles’ songs that were number one hits in the US and UK. It was released on the 30th anniversary of the band’s breakup, and was an instant worldwide success. It quickly became the fastest selling album in history, as it topped charts and went on to sell more than 30 million copies.
The One Concert is a celebration of these songs, this album, and the legend of The Beatles. The One Concert features all of the songs on The One Album, played in order by the amazing Beatlejuice!
Beatlejuice is one of the premier Beatles tribute acts in the county. Their style, precision and showmanship create a performance that is beyond compare.

Mavis Staples
She is, simply, a Legend. For more than sixty years, from her early days with The Staples Singers to her recent 2013 Grammy Award, Mavis Staples has been a legend of the Gospel and Blues worlds.
“All of my songs are me, but in a different way, with a different sound,” says Mavis Staples. “The phrasing, the tempos, the arrangements are different, but the messages are the same things I’ve been saying down through the years. They’re about the world today—poverty, jobs, welfare, all of that—and making it feel better through these songs.”
With her bold new album, You Are Not Alone, the legendary vocalist adds a remarkable new chapter to an historic career. Staples is a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award winner, and a National Heritage Fellowship Award recipient. VH1 named her one of the 100 Greatest Women of Rock and Roll, and Rolling Stone listed her as one of the 100 Greatest Singers of All Time. The Irish Rovers
Musical Icons The Irish Rovers are on their farewell tour after 50 years of playing together. The final performance of this farewell will take place at Cary Hall on March 23. It will be an historic day in musical history, a chance to enjoy an Irish Rovers performance one last time, and a chance to say thank you for the music, the revelry and the spirit that is The Irish Rovers.
As The Belfast Telegraph put it, "Throughout the years, these international ambassadors of Irish music have maintained their timeless ability to deliver a rollicking, rousing performance of good cheer - one that will soon have you singing and clapping along. Their songs have become anthems of revelry and joy among generation after generation of fans."
If ever there was a way to celebrate the St. Patrick’s Day season, it will be with the Irish Rovers at their Farewell performance! (Hi Rez Downloads: http://www.youtube.com/user/TheIrishRoversMusic)
Manhattan Transfer
It’s been more than forty years since Tim Hauser, a former Madison Avenue marketing executive, paid his bills by driving a New York City cab while aspiring to form a harmony vocal quartet. In the Fall of 1972, Hauser’s taxi fare was an aspiring young singer named Laurel Massé, who was familiar with the sole album by Hauser’s earlier Manhattan Transfer combo, and was looking to form a group. A few weeks later, another of Hauser’s fares invited him to a party where he met Brooklyn native Janis Siegel. As Hauser, Massé and Siegel began rehearsing, Massé’s then-boyfriend introduced Hauser and Siegel to Alan Paul, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Signed to Atlantic Records in 1975, their music quickly took the airwaves by storm. Numerous number one singles throughout the late 70s and early 80s, including the mega-hit “Birdland,” placed the group in a category all their own. They became the first group ever to win Grammy Awards in both Pop and Jazz categories in the same year. In 1982 and 1983 the group won consecutive Grammy Awards in the Best Jazz Vocal Performance, Duo or Group category for, respectively, “Route 66″ and “Why Not!”
The critical praise and commercial success of the group’s first seven studio albums could hardly have prepared them for the monumental 12 Grammy nominations they received in 1985 for the album Vocalese.
Those 12 nominations made Vocalese the single greatest Grammy nominated album in one year, and cemented the group’s status as one of the most important and innovative vocal groups in the history of popular music.
Today, Manhattan Transfer continues to wow audiences at sold out performances around the globe. Their unique style, amazing talent and forty years of hits make an evening with Manhattan Transfer an night that is not to be missed!
