PetsPage.com - An Innovative and Engaging Social Pet Community for Pets and Pet Lovers is Live Online
Boise, ID (PRWEB) July 17, 2013 -- Karen Bostick, creator and founder of PetsPage, today announced the official launch of PetsPage.com - a social community for pets and pet lovers, with a primary mission to make pet owners aware of a higher level of veterinary care in the form of veterinary specialists that few pet owners know exist, and that can quite literally save pets’ lives.
PetsPage is not, however, just a dry pet health education website. In fact, it’s anything but. PetsPage.com is an engaging social pet community for pets and pet lovers designed to connect pet lovers with other pet lovers as well as veterinary specialists, other pet professionals and pet products in a fun, friendly and interactive way.
On PetsPage.com, members will be able to:
- Chat real time with other pet lovers and pet professionals around the world;
- Set up their own PetsPage – a Facebook style forum to share photos and pet adventures;
- Have fun and interact with other pets and pet owners via Page Pals.
PetsPage members will also be able to:
- Learn about pet related events around the world and promote pet events to other pet lovers in their community;
- Participate and connect with pet professionals in PetsPage.com’s interactive discussions.
Pet professionals can also set up PetPro pages to demonstrate their skills and expertise to PetsPage members. PetsPage members can also post recommendations about pet professionals services and/or products.
A variety of exciting features will be added in the coming weeks and months.
"Since we started putting the PetsPage vision together just about 6 months ago, it has been a wild and wonderful ride. I am grateful to many people who have helped to bring my vision to the world with PetsPage.com. During our two week launch celebration, we will be adding several new features for our members. I am thrilled with what we have accomplished in such a short time and look forward to making PetsPage.com the premiere social community for pet lovers around the globe," said PetsPage CEO & founder, Karen Bostick.
PetsPage creator, Karen Bostick’s mission of creating awareness among pet owners of the advanced treatments available through veterinary specialty comes on the heels of a very scary personal experience. Karen’s little dog Tinks almost died of a serious auto-immune disease. It took a veterinary internist to save Tinks' life. Bostick believes pet owners need to become their pet's advocate and aware of all the treatment options that are available for their pet today. Wanting to share her message with pet owners everywhere, Karen created PetsPage.com.
During the development process of PetsPage.com, Bostick turned her beloved little Tinks into a social media super star with her facebook pages - Karen Bostick & Tinks, We Love Tinks, and MyPetAdvocate.org, which collectively have over 135k likes and growing.
About PetsPage.com
PetsPage.com was created and founded by Karen Bostick with a mission to make pet owners aware of a higher level of veterinary care that can often save pets' lives when all else fails. This higher level of veterinary care comes in the form of veterinary specialists, which most pet owners don’t know exist. These veterinary specialists can literally save a pet’s life when a primary veterinarian is stumped or does not have the expertise or experience to treat a dangerous life threatening illness. As the daughter of a veterinarian, even Bostick did not know of veterinary specialists and the life-saving treatments for pets they can provide.
She quickly realized she was not alone in her lack of awareness about veterinary specialty medicine and decided she must do something to educate fellow pet owners. Her vision of connecting pet owners with veterinary specialists is now reality. "I have really had fun creating new ways to incorporate more social features to attract pet owners to this important information," said Bostick.
