AFP Urges House to Delay Individual and Employer Mandates
Arlington, Virginia (PRWEB) July 17, 2013 -- Americans for Prosperity is urging House lawmakers to vote Yes on two bills coming to the floor today. The first, The Authority for Mandate Delay Act (H.R. 2667) would codify President Obama’s decision to delay the employer mandate under ObamaCare; the second, The Fairness for American Families Act (H.R. 2668) would extend the same delay to the individual mandate.
AFP President Tim Phillips released the following statement:
“The administration has shown that ObamaCare is simply unworkable by granting employers a reprieve but they refuse to give every day Americans the same benefits. This is a simple matter of fairness. Individual Americans certainly deserve the same protection from the harmful impact of ObamaCare implementation as large corporations.
“With each passing day, it becomes exceedingly clear that ObamaCare is the disaster we feared. In light of this slow-motion train wreck, it’s only responsible that the key provisions of the law be delayed, and ultimately, repealed entirely.”
