“AI has set the standard in LEDs, and have taken their years of experience and customer feedback to provide an even wider spectral output with the AI Hydra by adding 415nm Violet and 400nm UV LEDs to the mix,” Gilliland said.

The Hydra, Gilliland stressed, uses proprietary 80 degree lenses to provide uniform light output and color blending.
The company’s latest lens design utilizes the same TIR (Total Internal Reflection) optical design while incorporating a diffuse exit surface to optimize color blending.

“As a previous owner of the AI sol's these really give me a nice upgrade,” she said. “I like that they included the UV and Violet LEDs, and it even has built in wireless.”
Optional 50 degree lenses, according to Gilliland, are available for those needing more light penetration.
