Unbound Commerce is pleased to announce mobile site performance results, following an enhancement project and June 4 relaunch for client Sports Unlimited. In addition to significant UI flow enhancements, the mobile site now features Unbound’s new Responsive Design Checkout Solution, so ecommerce features like PayPal are formatted automatically for mobile consumers.
In the 38 days since the newly-enhanced site launched, as compared to the previous 38 days, mobile commerce revenue increased +36% and conversion rates jumped +42%. During this period, mobile site traffic was up 6%, indicating that the site enhancements were responsible for the lion's share of the revenue and conversion lift.
“The main goal of the redesign was to add new features and give the mobile site a face-lift. The mobile site's header, homepage, category pages, product detail pages, search, and checkout were all redesigned, with an eye for improving conversion. Category pages were updated, MyBuys dynamic recommendations added, and social share buttons built in,” said Mike Neff of Sports Unlimited.
Additionally, Unbound’s new Responsive Design Checkout Solution means the 5-step mobile checkout process was decreased to 3 steps and, for the first time, PayPal is offered as a mobile payment option, at checkout.
