Urgent Care Locations Provides Verified Urgent Care Directory for Healthcare Consumers

Founded by healthcare entrepreneur Michael Barber, Urgent Care Locations is seeking to fill a void for patients and their families.
Barber explains, “I have two young kids who have occasionally needed medical attention on nights and weekends, after their primary care office has closed. Before I load them in the car and start driving around, I want to know not only where the closest urgent care is, but also whether or not they have a good reputation or even if they are open when I need them. We have sought to create that resource.”
But the newly launched online resource isn’t just a solution for patients, but the operators of urgent care centers, as well.
“Most urgent care centers are owned and operated by physician entrepreneurs,” indicates Barber, “and they don’t always have the ability or opportunity to gain the necessary exposure to introduce themselves to patients within their community. Through online reach and presence, we can supplement that for them.”
Prior to deploying the website, each of the locations listed in the directory were contacted to verify the information on the site and collect their hours of operation and other key details. The goal, as Barber puts it, “is to not just publish information, but accurate information that consumers can trust.”
Coinciding with that mission, the site also features a resource section called Urgent Care 101 that helps answer many urgent care FAQs as well as host articles and information about the industry including details that will help consumers keep themselves and their family out of the doctors office and emergency room.
Over the coming months, additional details about each urgent care location will be made available as well as interactive tools to guide patients to the clinic of their choosing.
