Premiere Event is Changing Entertainment With TV Reality Series “My Hollywood”
Orlando, FL (PRWEB) July 18, 2013 -- Michael David Palance, president and CEO of Premiere Event and producer of the Lifetime movie Pop Star, today announced the production of a new TV reality series “My Hollywood.” Participants will be featured on a per episode basis but the overall theme will follow the family dynamic and the performers’ ups and downs with auditions, agent interviews, and navigating stigmas of the TV and film industries. “My Hollywood” will focus on Americans and talent from Canada, Singapore, Russia and Greece. Some of the show’s cast include:
Philippe Aleksandrov, New York, NY
Sydney Eads, Columbus, OH
Trace Funk, Alberta, Canada
Jacie Hunter Frost, Harrisburg, PA
Jasmine Deo, Seattle, WA
Taylor Burton, Cookville, TN
Kymberly Anne, Singapore
Vara Giannakopoulos, Clearwater, FL
LaAndrea Robinson, Jackson, AL
Jada Kaufman, Knoxville, TN
Philippe Aleksandrova’s mother Elena has been on two previous reality shows, “Fashion Hunters” and “Millionaire Matchmaker” on Bravo. She says, “Being on those shows changed my life and helped my business. When my son approached me about getting into the acting world, I saw what it did for me personally and thought this would be the right choice for my son to pursue his dreams.”
Michael David Palance is no stranger to controversy and thrives on challenging conventional ideas about the entertainment business. He has focused the last 15 years of his life on building businesses or fixing struggling organizations in the entertainment-based industries. He has had an extensive career in the business; first as a young actor in commercials and theatre, working with actors such as Brad Pitt, Angela Lansbury and starring on Aaron Spelling produced shows. He’s primarily recognizable from his long stint on several major soap operas in the ‘80s like “One Life to Live” and “Ryan’s Hope.” After a transition into producing projects, he branched into consumer based services such as owning and operating one of the world’s largest acting school franchises in three countries. In 2009, Mr. Palance stumbled upon the struggling talent convention and transformed its reputation in one year. Under his leadership, Premiere Event has become the most successful and respected vehicle for talent discovery.
“When my career started in the mid ‘80s, casting directors and agents were willing to take a chance on young talent. I wasn’t a very good actor. I had the right look and was at the right place, at the right time. Many of the traditional avenues that I took back then to begin and sustain my career no longer exist for young talent today. Mailing in headshots, taking countless acting classes, and even posting content yourself on YouTube, isn’t an effective way to be discovered. You need someone to provide you with an opportunity that has the potential to reach not only the industry, but the world. In recent years, I’ve clearly recognized the need for someone in the industry to reinvent the way talent is discovered. With “My Hollywood”, we are able to produce our own content and create a new narrative for the entertainment industry. We have had our fair share of critics. Any career or trade requires tools and investment. Whether that is through education, materials, marketing, etc. Parents spend money on extra-curricular activities such as dance, music, and sports to help their kids develop into well-rounded adults. This is no different.”
Michael David Palance goes on to say, “The biggest misconception about our company is that we are affiliated with Disney. Which makes me laugh! We have held our events at Disney World for years, we have kids that appear on Disney shows and have Disney celebrities at our events, but Disney doesn’t fund Premiere Event.”
Premiere Event has produced success stories such as Hayden Byerly from ABC Family’s “The Fosters,” Disney’s “Sophia the First,” and NBC’s “Parenthood,” Landry Bender who starred in Twentieth Century Fox feature film THE SITTER with Jonah Hill and has a leading role in Disney XD’s “Crash & Bernstein” and Zayne Emory who has had roles on Disney’s “Shake it Up,” “A.N.T. Farm” and “Kickin’ It.”
