Dr. David Amron Reports That One in Four Liposuction Patients Will Require Revision Surgery
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) July 22, 2013 -- According to the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, liposuction was the second most popular surgical cosmetic procedure performed in 2012. Despite being one of the most commonly performed procedures, liposuction is one of the hardest to perfect. Liposuction has the highest revision rate of any cosmetic surgery, primarily due in large part to surgeon error.
Dr. David Amron, a liposuction specialist out of Beverly Hills, California named the Guru of Liposuction by Entertainment Weekly, recently discussed the signs of liposuction that has gone wrong. As an accomplished liposuction specialist, Dr. Amron has performed thousands of liposuction revision procedures, 50 percent of his practice is revision work.
One in every four patients who receive liposuction require revision surgery which in turn forces them to seek the help of revision liposuction specialists like Dr. Amron of Beverly Hills. Dr. David Amron explains, “Revision liposuction is where I am actually improving the results of other surgeons. So, I am very familiar with liposuction gone wrong in terms of results.”
Dr. Amron has committed himself to providing his patients with good results. In fact, Dr. Amron’s revision rate is only one in every 1,000 patients. He contributes this in large part to tumescent liposuction, which is a technique that uses no general anesthesia, allowing patients to be up and moving around 30 minutes following surgery and back to work after only two days. Dr. Amron claims this method reduces the chances for blood clots which is one of the biggest risks associated with liposuction. Also by allowing his patients to move around right after surgery, the body naturally drain any fluid.
In regards to liposuction gone wrong, Dr. Amron strongly believes it is caused mostly by surgeon error. Before and after pictures are a good indicator that liposuction was not done well. Typically patients with poor liposuction results experience skin that is indented, has rippling, is uneven, and distorted in terms of pockets of fats.
In addition to providing patients with proper results, Dr. Amron also aims at educating patients in regards to choosing a cosmetic surgeon. Dr. Amron stresses to patients that when choosing a cosmetic surgeon, a lot of patience and consideration needs to be taken. Dr. Amron also advocates that patients consult with at least three different surgeons. Dr. Amron has published several articles on both of his websites ExpertLiposuction.com and RevisionLipo.com in hopes of educating patients everywhere about liposuction and revision liposuction.
