A-lign Offers Remedy to CFPB Hot Topics at Annual ACA Credit and Collections Conference
Tampa, FL (PRWEB) July 18, 2013 -- The Annual Convention of the ACA (The Association of Credit and Collections Professionals) allows credit and collection professionals from the US and around the world the opportunity to attend educational sessions and workshops, vendor exhibits and networking events with over 1,200 attendees to exchange ideas and solutions on current industry trends.
Representing A-lign in the Expo Hall, Senior Consultant Sara McLane and Marketing Specialist Amanda Campbell were available to discuss concerns related to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) examination and offer remediation services to collection centers and debt buyers. The recent rule allows the CFPB to federally supervise debt collectors and collection agencies with more than $10 million in annual receipts from consumer debt collection activities.
A-ligns’ team members are covering all avenues to bring awareness to Debt Collectors, Collection Agency owners and Management business owners so that they can begin preparations for the CFPB examination. A-lign offers a CFPB Readiness Examination Service to ensure compliance with the various CFPB regulations. The readiness exam includes a gap analysis, remediation assistance and an assessment of controls in accordance with CFPB Examination Procedures in preparation for the CFPB’s actual exam. In keeping with these efforts, A-lign Director Neil Gonsalves recently published an article in the American Lawyers Quarterly Newsletter. The complete article, “Preparing Your Collection Agency for the CFPB Examination” can be found on A-lign’s website here: http://www.aligncpa.com/preparing-your-collection-agency-for-the-cfpb-examination/.
A-lign Directors will also present a webinar later this year addressing the CFPB changes.
