David S. Bem Ph.D., Dow Chemical Company, Secured as the Keynote Speaker for ChemInnovations
(PRWEB) July 19, 2013 -- David S. Bem Ph.D., Global R&D Director, Dow Chemical Company, will deliver the Keynote Address at ChemInnovations, the conference & exhibition focused on delivering practical solutions for plant management and operations. Dr. Bem is scheduled to deliver the keynote address at ChemInnovations, which will be held September 24-26 at the Moody Gardens Hotel & Convention Center in Galveston, Texas.
Dr. Bem joined Dow in 2007 and has held leadership positions in R&D Hydrocarbons & Energy, Alternative Feedstocks, and Basic Chemicals before becoming the R&D director of Dow Automotive in 2008. He assumed his current role in November 2010 as leader of the Core R&D organization and the Corporate Innovation Fund, which allows for early stage exploration of disruptive technologies and the development of new businesses. “Dr. Bem has extensive industry knowledge and his session will detail suspected but little-discussed impacts from increased ethane cracking,” said Cassie Davie, Conference Manager. “His expertise and ability to see the wider challenges being created by the shale boom are sure to deliver value to our attendees.”
Prior to and following Dr. Bem’s Keynote Address there will be concurrent conference sessions focused on the critical issues in operating and managing a chemical/petrochemical plant. Along with this in-depth program, the 4th Annual ChemInnovations will include an exhibit floor that features companies showcasing the newest technologies for the CPI.
