We want kids to come in and play and have a good time, because then they want to come back again and again.
El Paso, TX (PRWEB) July 22, 2013
With four clinics in the El Paso area, Texas Kids Dental has one mission: to make dental care as fun as possible. Therefore, three of the clinics offer PLAYTIME playgrounds for patients and the fourth is nearly ready for installation.
“There is a lot of competition in El Paso,” says Carol Erickson, clinic director. “In the last two years, 10 more practices have popped up. At Texas Kids Dental, we make the experience fun for children so that they want to come back.”
All of the dental playgrounds at Texas Kids Dental were created, manufactured and installed by PLAYTIME, LLC, a commercial playground manufacturer and the global provider of unique, interactive, soft play areas and playground equipment for indoor, outdoor and water play.
“When you concentrate on kids, you need to have exciting things for them to look forward to,” explains Erickson, who says she discovered PLAYTIME’s product at an Arizona shopping center, SanTan Village, and thought, “We need to get some of these!”

Of course, most dental practices are smaller than shopping centers and so PLAYTIME customizes its play equipment for smaller spaces. Yet, with smaller spaces, it is critical that each play element offer a maximum of functionality, from climbing to tunneling to sliding.
Erickson says that her son, Jeffrey Erickson, DMD, has always been passionate about kids’ dental care and about fun. Those two passions help Dr. Erickson and Texas Kids Dental stand above the crowd in El Paso’s competitive dental market.
“Dr. Erickson recently said that if he builds another play area it will be the greatest play area there ever was!” she says, adding, “We want kids to come in and play and have a good time, because then they want to come back again and again.”
