Movie News: Funny Pulp Fiction Depiction is Now Online
(PRWEB) July 19, 2013 -- Claude Johnson and the creative crew at Guitar Control recently produced one of their new movie parodies, which is something they recently started doing and plan to do every year or so. This one is entitled Gulp Fiction and although it’s not technically a full-length film, since the running time is only 35 minutes, it’s certainly not short on laughs, as there are more than a few funny lines and some seriously silly situations in it.
The flick was shot in Vegas and was directed by Virtuwul, who is a skilled musician and instructor that’s been associated with the company for quite a while now. Also, although there is no MPAA rating, as it’s not actually a “professional” production; this would probably fall into the R category, which is basically because of the unfiltered yet befitting dialogue it contains. But other than that, there isn’t really anything that should be too offensive to anyone, and besides, it’s all in good fun anyways.
The cast in this mini Guitar Control movie is actually made up of members of the company’s team along with a couple of special guests. In fact, the main part of Vincent, John Travolta’s character in Pulp Fiction, is played by the president and creator of Guitar Control, Claude Johnson, who always takes at least one ridiculous role in their releases. Also, the crazy cat that plays Claude’s sidekick in crime does a near perfect impression of Samuel Jackson’s sizzling performance from the original.
Aside from that, there are other memorable moments and many folks may find this short film to be most entertaining, especially for being low budget and obviously made for fun by a mainly amateur bunch of actors. In addition, as far as funny soundtracks go, this would be one of them, as it does have some pretty hilarious original material that is played masterfully, after all this movie was made by a company that specializes in music.
One rather notable part in this production is a rendition of a song that’s presented in the form of a video which is a remake of Warren Zevon’s classic tune Werewolves of London. In this take, Claude/Vincent plays a super sweet “Wolfman” style guitar solo while wearing a scary wig and very exaggerated facial expressions while standing in the middle of a cemetery on a sunny day.
So, considering Guitar Control’s funny short films like this Pulp Fiction parody, it seems that just as helping people to learn the six-string is a top priority to the crew at this company, laughing is also high up there on the list of things that they love to assist with!
