Concert Pavilion Using Sound Seal Sound Curtains Around Concert Stage to Reduce Noise
Agawam Ma (PRWEB) July 26, 2013 -- To address their concerns over noise issues related to the concerts and other outdoor events coinciding with a world famous international yachting race, event organizers in the San Francisco Bay area have installed acoustic sound curtains around the concert stage to reduce noise in the neighboring community.
Per local ordinances, operation of the concert site required adequate safeguards to prevent emissions of noise, glare, dust and odor that would substantially interfere with the public health, safety and welfare or the peaceful enjoyment of neighboring property.
Sound Seal Acoustical Products of Agawam, MA was contracted to manufacture the sound curtains for the outdoor concert stage which seats over 8000 concert goers. Their "BBC style" sound curtains consist of a reinforced loaded vinyl noise barrier backing with a 2" thick exterior grade faced quilted fiberglass sound absorber. Each modular panel is attached by grommets around the perimeter to the support structure and the adjacent panel. The finished installation formed a three-sided sound curtain wall totaling 200' long x 40' high behind the concert stage area to effectively reduce noise in the local community.
