Waukesha, WI (PRWEB) July 22, 2013 -- Sunday, July 21, 2013 was a day of simple blessings for special needs families served by SNAPPIN' MINISTRIES INC, headquartered in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. Their annual family picnic was provided an afternoon of free food and fun at Country Springs Waterpark Hotel in nearby Waukesha, Wisconsin. Parents, along with both their affected and typical children were greeted with a beautiful buffet of picnic food and ice cream at the facilities Grand Pavillion. The food and environment were perfect, affording accommodations for those who needed gluten-free food or more quiet space to dine.
Afterwards, families adjourned to The Springs Water Park facility for some wet fun. The gratitude was overflowing, along with the precious smiles of those usually confined to a wheelchair, as they floated in the security of their parents' arms. While wild rides down a water slide or being doused by a giant bucket of water might be taken for granted by some, many families raising children with special needs expressed that endless medical bills make this a luxury they cannot otherwise afford. Even though The Springs generously offers a Monday night Special Needs Swim, not every family is able to pay the deeply discounted rate to enjoy this incredible facility. SNAPPIN' was thrilled to open up this opportunity as part of their quarterly schedule of fun family events.
