Authors Paula Tarver and Jeanne Martin Share Methods for Healthy Child Development
Tampa, Florida (PRWEB) July 24, 2013 -- Raising a child, especially in the newborn stages, is no easy task. To help with understanding the developmental process, occupational therapists Paula Tarver and Jeanne Martin combined detailed tips and research in the new handbook, Advance My Baby: The Ultimate Secrets of Healthy Development For Your Baby – Birth to 3 Years.
Advance My Baby is a parent-friendly and professionally comprehensive guide for learning about and tracking the critical developmental stages from birth to 3 years old. The book addresses all areas of development, including emotional/social and language, and draws special attention to the importance of sensory integration.
Through the use of timelines, color-coding, checklists and playtime ideas, this easy to navigate handbook encourages caregivers to take an active approach in the understanding and monitoring of all aspects of a baby’s development.
By using their recommended activities and exercises, Tarver and Martin’s goal is to prevent or minimize all issues that may arise during those early stages. They have conducted multiple case studies – including using the tips from the guide with their own children – and have already received positive feedback for their approach.
“We wrote Advance My Baby to share our knowledge and experience with as many families as possible,” said Tarver. Added Martin, “We want parents to have a reliable and well-researched source they can turn to for guidance and answers during those critical first years.”
