Summit Medical Group Welcomes Susan C. Simon, M.D.
Berkeley Heights, NJ (PRWEB) July 24, 2013 -- Susan C. Simon, M.D., has joined Summit Medical Group in internal medicine. Dr. Simon practices at the Group’s 1 Diamond Hill Road, Berkeley Heights campus and at 560 Springfield Avenue, Westfield.
Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Simon has been a Partner and Associate in Medicine at Middlesex Medical Group, Edison, N.J. She was also a staff physician at Harvard University Health Services and New England Baptist Hospital, both in Boston.
Dr. Simon received her bachelor of arts in biology summa cum laude at Central College in Pella, Ind. She earned her doctor of medicine at Boston University School of Medicine. After graduating, she completed her residency in medicine at Boston's Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where she was designated the Chief Resident.
A gifted teacher, Dr. Simon was the Instructor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, JFK Family Practice Residency Program and at University Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). She is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society and also the recipient of more than eight prestigious honors and awards, including the Central College Pearl Robertson Science Scholarship, Deaconess Hospital James L. Tullis, M.D., Resident Achievement Award and the MDx Medical, Inc., Most Compassionate Doctor and Patients’ Choice awards.
