Motionsoft Embeds Logi Analytics to Pump Up Its Fitness Club Management Solutions
McLean, Virginia (PRWEB) July 23, 2013 -- Logi Analytics, the authority on embedded analytics, today announced that Motionsoft embedded Logi Info into its club and member relationship management software for gym and health clubs, delivering strong reporting capabilities and enhanced functionality to end users.
Motionsoft serves nearly 2,500 clients worldwide. Their technology, which includes club management software, billing services, online services and scheduling, business intelligence, and data conversion and support, enables customers to easily manage members and staff, and streamline check-in, facility and billing operations.
Prior to using Logi Analytics, Motionsoft’s desktop application included reporting capabilities from Crystal reports, which became inadequate when the company switched over to a SaaS, single instance, multi-tenant delivery model. Motionsoft needed an environment to distribute reports and give customers visibility into their data using the same access method for the applications – via Web browser. Additionally, Motionsoft’s previous reports lacked interactivity; users could not drill down and move report segments on the screen. It was also impossible to expose the authoring environment for end user self-service capabilities.
“We evaluated other reporting systems, but found they didn’t meet our specific BI needs and weren’t a great fit to embed into our product,” said Shane Edmonds, CTO, Motionsoft. “We chose Logi Analytics for its tremendous embeddability; based on prior integrations we’ve done with other products, we had a planned integration timeframe of three to six months, but with Logi Analytics we had a complete proof of concept and a fully integrated product within the first 30 days.”
Motionsoft embedded Logi Info to function as their report engine, and a Logi Ad Hoc-based report builder module where users could create their own reports or customize existing reports. Motionsoft created more than 50 reports and four dashboards with individual drill-downs, making information accessible at multiple levels. Motionsoft BI capabilities now include dashboards with customizable features, such as moving panels and saving filters, and customers can now schedule, distribute, and deliver reports automatically. Logi Info also added single sign-on capability, so the system recognizes the individual, their respective enterprise, and can accesses the appropriate data in Motionsoft’s single-instance multi-tenant architecture.
Logi Info also improved Motionsoft’s data analysis speed and performance. Previously, Motionsoft users had to enter parameters, run the report, get static output, and then redo the entire process to get different output. With Logi Analytics, they are able to do this within the same screen where they can refresh with different parameters to do analyses and find patterns in their data. End users are able to perform in-depth analysis to identify customers who may cancel their gym membership and message to them directly before it happens, improving customer retention.
“Our technologies allow companies like Motionsoft to embed dashboards, reports, and analytics into products and services quickly, easily, and in a way that preserves their brand and user experience. Logi Info’s agile, elemental design approach and 100 percent Web-based architecture enables software and SaaS providers to dramatically reduce the development and integration time needed to create and implement these advanced features,” said Brett Jackson, CEO, Logi Analytics. “In addition, the Logi Info platform lets them customize the look and feel of their analytics, deliver self-service reporting to end users, provide role-based uses and permissions, integrate into their existing security model, and support multi-tenant implementations.”
This year, Logi Analytics was moved to the “challengers” quadrant of the 2013 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Business Intelligence and Analytics Platforms report in only its third year in the research. The company’s position was based on its ability to execute and completeness of vision as it continues to deliver on its value proposition of ease-of-use, rapid time to deployment, and embeddability.
