This award designation is based on a national survey among 5,000 plus women who were asked to select the brands they would most highly recommend to others. Today’s U.S. female consumer values the opinion of others and over half of all women consider her role as a broadcaster, responsible for helping others make smart choices.

Additional brands including GAF, Reverie and Restonic received the Women’s Choice Award based on extraordinary recommendations from their female customers in a customer satisfaction survey, conducted by WomenCertified Inc., where 9 out of their 10 of their female customers reported that they would highly recommend the brand to their friends and family.

The announcement of the 2013 America’s Best Brands for the Home is timely given 2013 will be the perfect storm of necessity and opportunity where only those brands who understand & cater to the changing needs, desires and expectations of women will be successful.

“With Baby Boomers aging, this next generation of homeowners is spending more time focused on their careers which means less time on upkeep around the home,” says Delia Passi, CEO and Founder of the Women’s Choice Awards. “The primary decision maker for the home is seeking home improvements and products that last longer, require less maintenance and meet her unique buying needs.
• Over 90% of all household purchases made are influenced by women (American Express Member Study 2011)
• 80% of women say they are the ones who take the initial step in starting a home improvement or upgrade, with 40% making the purchase decision from start to finish. (MedeliaMonitor 2013)
• 85% of women say that they are in need of home upgrades and over 60% of women say they will spend the same or more in home improvements in 2013 compared to prior year (MedeliaMonitor 2013)

The Women’s Choice Award has set the standard for helping women make smarter choices by collectively identifying the brands most recommended and trusted by women and those that deliver a customer experience worthy of her recommendation.
