"The Importance of Mitral Valve Repair Surgery" Webinar eBook and Video Announced by HeartValveSurgery.com
New York City, NY (PRWEB) July 23, 2013 -- HeartValveSurgery.com, the largest online resource and community of patients with heart valve disease, announced today that a free eBook and video of the "The Importance of Mitral Valve Repair Surgery" webinar is now available at this link.
The Mount Sinai Medical Center and HeartValveSurgery.com recently hosted a live, online webinar to educate patients about mitral valve disease and treatment options – including the advantages of mitral valve repair, also known as mitral valve reconstruction.
The featured speakers of the event included Dr. Anelechi Anyanwu, cardiac surgeon at The Mount Sinai Medical Center, Dr. Robin Varghese, cardiac surgeon at The Mount Sinai Medical Center, and Adam Pick, a former patient.
"The community response to the mitral valve repair webinar was beyond expectation," noted Adam Pick, founder of HeartValveSurgery.com. "The new eBook, which contains the webinar transcript, and the video playback will expand the global reach of this very important, educational event."
During the webinar, Drs. Anyanwu and Varghese provided a comprehensive overview of mitral valve disorders (e.g. mitral valve prolapse, rheumatic disease, Barlow’s disease), treatment options and the advantages of mitral valve repair techniques. In addition, the physicians helped patients understand what to expect after surgery, in a hospital setting. The webinar concluded with an interactive "Questions & Answers" session among the Dr. Anyanwu, Dr. Varghese and the webinar attendees.
