Jason Calacanis Keynote To Kick Off Pubcon Las Vegas 2013
AUSTIN, TX (PRWEB) July 23, 2013 -- Pubcon, the search marketing event of the year, is thrilled to announce that noted Internet entrepreneur Jason Calacanis, chief executive and founder of Inside.com and longtime angel investor, will present a major keynote address to kick off Pubcon Las Vegas 2013 in style at the Las Vegas Convention Center in the entertainment capital of the world.
Calacanis is an active angel investor and has hosted the popular podcast “This Week in Startups” since 2009. After three years of hosting TechCrunch50, he founded LAUNCH Media, which publishes the LAUNCH Ticker and produces a number of events including the annual LAUNCH Festival in San Francisco, featuring over 50 start-ups. Previous LAUNCH graduates include Mint, Dropbox, Yammer, Fitbit and Room 77. Calacanis’ Inside.com is expected to launch in the fall of 2013.

Calacanis maintained editorial supervision over Weblogs, Inc. as a senior vice president at AOL. Six months into his tenure with AOL, Calacanis was offered a chance to be the General Manager of the new Netscape website.
Before forming Weblogs, Inc., Calacanis was chief executive, founder, and editor of noted monthly news website Silicon Alley Reporter, which chronicled New York’s Internet and new media industries, eventually being sold to Dow Jones.
