Boston, MA (PRWEB) July 23, 2013 -- Today, Zappix, the leading provider of Cloud-based multi-channel consumer engagement mobile platforms announced the appointment of Amol Joshi, Ph.D as the company’s new President and Chief Executive Officer.
“We are extremely pleased to have Amol joining us,” said Avner Schneur, the Chairman of Zappix. “Having served as President and CEO myself, I know how demanding this role can be and the strong qualifications that are required. Given Amol’s customer focus, character, sales and business acumen and demonstrated leadership skills, I am confident Zappix will help create significant value for its customers.”
Mr. Joshi expressed similar enthusiasm, stating, “I couldn’t be more excited joining a company that creates immediate, tangible and long-lasting value for its customers. Zappix accomplishes this by improving the Net Promoter Score™, a key customer experience metric. The Zappix platform has already received significant market and technology validation as a highly scalable, secure and HIPAA-compliant platform. It dramatically improves consumers’ customer experience when they engage with product and service providers for Customer Support through the Zappix mobile app. We now have an incredibly talented Management Team in place that is dedicated to helping our clients create an amazing experience for the consumers they serve. ”
Mr. Joshi received his Doctorate in Chemical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis and most recently held executive sales leadership responsibilities at IBM. Prior to IBM, Amol and his team were instrumental in the rapid growth and subsequent sale to IBM of Emptoris, a SaaS-solution provider of Strategic Supply and Contract Management solutions. Over what has been a dynamic and cross-functional career, he has also held management and executive positions with Sterlite Technologies (affiliated with FTSE 100 Vedanta Resources Group), Demantra (acquired by Oracle) and Aspen Technology, which he joined in its early stages of growth.
The new President and CEO comes to Zappix at an ideal time, when customer engagement is being recognized, more and more, as perhaps the single most important factor impacting a company’s growth and profits. That, combined with the exploding global adoption of mobile devices, has businesses of all sizes and types scrambling to improve their engagement on mobile platforms, a need that the Zappix application fills with unparalleled flexibility and cost-effectiveness.
Much of the potential with Zappix comes from built-in, Cloud-based technology that allows a business of any size and complexity to create an entirely content-driven, multichannel, customer service smartphone experience across all iOS and Android devices. Channels such as Visual IVR & voice, social media and web are all accommodated at a significantly lower total cost of ownership.
In the near term, while it continues to build consumer awareness and acceptance, Zappix is partnering with greater numbers of small to large enterprises to develop their presence on the Zappix platform. It is expected that Amol Joshi will play a crucial role in executing this phase as Zappix sets its sights on becoming the consumer service portal of choice for businesses of all sizes. “Leveraging Amol’s extensive business leadership experience,” continued Avner Schneur, “we plan on aggressively growing Zappix adoption with both consumers and businesses.”
