Law School Student Wins Michigan Personal Injury Law Firm’s Diversity Scholarship
Southfield, MI (PRWEB) July 24, 2013 -- The Michigan personal injury law firm of Buckfire & Buckfire, P.C. is excited to announce that they have chosen the recipient of their first annual 2013 Law School Diversity Scholarship.
The accident attorneys awarded a University of California, Irvine School of Law student, Tiffane King, with a $2,000.00 scholarship this week after choosing her application out of many exceptional law school student applicants.
Tiffane King has already completed her first year of law school at Irvine. Within that first year, she helped engineer the Disability Right Society, which encourages individuals with disabilities to enter the legal profession, and has become a part of the Black Law Students Association. She is active in contributing to the diversity of her law school student body and has achieved excellent academic records.
“Buckfire & Buckfire was very fortunate to receive many strong applicants for the Diversity Scholarship. We had a most difficult time in selecting this year’s scholarship recipient because of the high qualifications of the candidates,” says Partner and Attorney Lawrence J. Buckfire.
Tiffane King was chosen as the awarded winner because he/she not only achieved positive academic records but is also able to positively utilize their law degree to promote ethnic diversity.
“I am extremely humbled, as well as grateful, that Buckfire & Buckfire has helped me to realize a dream that I thought was so far out of reach by giving me a scholarship,” says Tiffane King.
The Michigan personal injury lawyers at Buckfire & Buckfire, P.C. congratulate Tiffane King for her accomplishments and wishes all student applicants continued success in their academic and professional goals.
“As part of our commitment to diversity, Buckfire & Buckfire, P.C. is pleased to offer such a scholarship that not only promotes such an important issue that is very prevalent in today’s society, but also to be able to provide financial support to upcoming law school students,” says Buckfire.
Students who applied must have been a member of an ethnic or racial minority, or any individual who demonstrates a defined commitment to issues of diversity within their academic career, a U.S. citizen currently attending an accredited law school within the United States, and an academic achievement as reflected by a minimum 3.0 GPA and have completed at least one semester of classes at an accredited law school.
The annual scholarship was established to recognize an exceptional law school student who not only achieved positive academic records but also is able to utilize their law degree to promote ethnic diversity. Congratulations Tiffane King!
