Pet Kept Secrets is Gaining New Users Even in Beta
Raleigh, NC (PRWEB) July 24, 2013 -- Pet Kept Secrets (PKS) was initially released earlier this year, and since then it has seen a steady growth of new users eager to network with other pet owners. Later this summer, PKS will have a new release of its website that will enhance how members interact with each other in addition to the amount of activities they can engage in while on the site. Despite being in Beta mode and having limited functionality, the website has been growing because of four specific reasons.
Reason #1 - The Social Media Exodus. Well, exodus might be a little extreme; however, it is a fact that social media followers are beginning to flock to more niche-based social network sites. The big players in social media barely feel this departure, but for the smaller and newly developing sites like PKS, there is a clear pattern. PKS is a social network for pets and their owners, which is a huge and growing demographic.
Reason #2 - The Rise in Pet Adoption. PKS supports responsible breeders, but is also a strong advocate for rescuing shelter dogs, cats, and other pets. In fact, most of the PKS team has one or more dogs that they rescued from pet adoption centers. The growth in pet adoption means people are online looking for places to adopt a pet, other owners of adopted pets, and even events for pet adoption. PKS offers one place where people can post and find all of this information.
Reason #3 - Pet Owners Need Trusted Providers. With the rise of pet adoption, organic foods, and local small businesses supporting niche communities, pet owners have more choices about where they service their pets. PKS not only offers a place for pet owners, but also a place for trusted veterinarians, gourmet pet food providers, and other pet-related businesses to interact with their local communities. Members of PKS have the ability to search for these business on PKS confidently.
Reason #4 - The Future is Coming! Recently, a lot of the newest members have joined PKS to make certain they are early adopters for the new website coming out later this summer. Members will have increased networking capabilities, and their will be a host of new features that will be both useful and fun.
Despite being in Beta it is still a great time to check out PKS. Membership is free, and as the site grows the development will be looking toward the users to see what new additions they really want added to the site.
