The National Council for Hypnotherapy Responds to New Research into Weight Loss and Diabetes
(PRWEB UK) 26 July 2013 -- According to an article published in OnMedica, patients diagnosed with high blood pressure who lose at least 10 per cent of their body weight within six months of diagnosis were 85 per cent less likely to develop type 2 diabetes than those who gained weight. The study, published in the Journal of General Internal Medicine, showed that fast and strict action on high blood pressure reduced the chances of developing type 2 diabetes. Advice given to drop blood pressure included losing weight and taking regular exercise, both of which require willpower and determination.
One way that has helped clients improve these characteristics is hypnotherapy. The complementary therapy works to strengthen the desire and determination to lose weight as well as realigning the client’s thoughts and approach to eating healthily.
“Diabetes can be a serious, life changing condition and any complementary therapy that can help a patient avoid developing it is ideal. Combining hypnotherapy with a healthy diet and exercise could make for great weight loss and as a result avoid diabetes.”
The National Council for Hypnotherapy continues to highlight the benefits of using hypnotherapy for a range of issues.
