The National Council for Hypnotherapy Responds to Scottish University Using Hypnosis to Combat Stress
(PRWEB UK) 30 July 2013 -- According to The Scotsman, Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen is set to benefit from the use of hypnotherapy to help reduce examination stress and improve grades. Clinical hypnosis will be used on students with the aim of relaxing them, giving them the ability to control anxiety and keep calm before, during and after their exams. A spokesperson from the University explained how the students and Professor of Oxford University Medical School will be working together on the new scheme:
“Staff at Robert Gordon University of Nursing and Midwifery will work with the Professor to develop new support strategies for students, including hypnotherapy, to alleviate the stress of exams and coursework which will also be incorporated into the induction process.”
The scheme is welcomed by The National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH), an online UK hypnotist directory. The online organisation connects those looking for a hypnotist to help with a wide range of issues including stopping smoking, controlling anxiety and losing weight. The NCH works hard to highlight the benefits of hypnotherapy for a range of issues as a representative explained:
“Hypnotherapy really has endless uses and benefits and we are delighted to hear that the complementary therapy is being used at RGU. As it is a midwifery and nursing university we hope the students experience the power of hypnotherapy and choose to incorporate it in areas once they are qualified, for instance - hypno-birthing- a technique used for delivery babies.”
The National Council for Hypnotherapy continue to follow hypnotherapy news.
