PrimeTime Lighting Systems, Inc. Provides Lighting for Youth Filmmakers
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) July 25, 2013 -- PrimeTime Lighting Systems, manufacturer of LED and fluorescent lighting systems for broadcast studios named the nonprofit youth motion picture training and mentoring organization, Movie Institute, as a research and development test center for their lighting fixtures. Initially, PrimeTime is providing over $14,000 in LED and fluorescent lighting fixtures to help kick off Movie Institute’s 14th annual Kamp Hollywood for pre-teens and teens at their new facilities.
The newly located studios are in the former Dallas Valley View Mall space and provide a one-of-a-kind hands-on film production program teamed with industry professionals. Movie Institute trains and mentors participants in life and success skills such as learning to work in a team, improving focus, using critical thinking for efficient problem solving, discipline and instilling work ethic during the fun and hard work of motion picture production and acting. Camps and workshops are offered year round.
PrimeTime Lighting products illuminate broadcast and cable news sets, film production studios, worship sanctuaries, religious broadcasting studios, videoconference facilities, city council chambers and distance learning classrooms throughout the United States and in some foreign countries.
Glen Harn, president of PrimeTime Lighting explained the partnership, “our 13 year-old twins have been Kamp Hollywood and workshop participants for three years and have benefited tremendously from professional mentoring in film production. My wife and business partner, Cynthia and I always wished there was a way we could help with the program. By providing PrimeTime’s safe, cool, and professional LED and fluorescent lighting systems to Movie Institute, we not only insure the safety of the students, but train them with top quality lights used on professional film and video production sets.”
Keith Duncan, President/CEO and Founder of Movie Institute added, “We are happy and grateful that PrimeTime Lighting Systems, the advanced LED lighting system innovator, will support Movie Institute with special LED and fluorescent lights on an ongoing basis. Their instruments will enhance on-set safety for our young people AND save on energy!”
The 14th annual Kamp Hollywood starts this Sunday, July 28, 2013 at the new studios at Valley View Mall and is still registering participants, ages 8-17.
